Settings and Configuration#

This section describes settings and configuration options you can change inside Evon Hub. All settings can be adjusted via the Web UI or API.

EC2 IAM Role Status

Visibility: Only on Hubs deployed via AWS Marketplace

This provides a read-only health check (green/red icon) indicating the health status of your EC2 IAM Role. Green indicates that the AWS IAM Role attached to the instance is configured correctly which is required for the Hub to function correctly. Details about how to setup your IAM Role is provided in the deployment instructions in AWS Marketplace.

Timezone

Visibility: Only on Hubs deployed via evonhub.com or AWS Marketplace

The local timezone for your Hub (default: UTC)

Auto update

Visibility: Only on Hubs deployed via evonhub.com or AWS Marketplace

A chkecbox indicating if the Hub should automatically apply updates (default: On). The WebUI and the Evon API may become unavailable for a few minutes during the update process, but connected Users and Servers using the overlay network will not be affected.

Auto update time

Visibility: Only on Hubs deployed via evonhub.com or AWS Marketplace

The auto update start time of day, in the provided Timezone.

Discovery mode

Visibility: Always

A checkbox setting to enable/disable Discovery mode. Disable to prevent any new Servers from joining your overlay network unless its UUID is whitelisted.

UUID blacklist

Visibility: Always

A comma separated list of Server UUID’s that will be disallowed from connecting. Note that any currently connected Server with a UUID specified here will be forcibly disconnected and deleted.

UUID whitelist

Visibility: Always

A comma separated list of Server UUID’s that will allowed to connect even if discovery mode is disabled. Currently connected servers do not need to be added here as the Hub will always permit existing Server UUID’s to connect. To block an existing server from the Hub that you are unable to uninstall the Bootstrap script on, add its UUID to the UUID blacklist above.
